Never Run Out of Copilot Premium Requests Mid-Month

Sign in to GitHub.com, click your profile photo, open Settings, then select Copilot to see the premium requests usage meter for the current month. It shows how many of your included premium requests you have left. CostGoat surfaces the same number on your desktop in real-time, so you can see your Copilot premium requests remaining without opening GitHub every time.

Copilot premium requests reset monthly on your billing cycle date, not on the first of the calendar month. Your included allowance refills in full on that date. CostGoat shows your reset date alongside your balance so you always know how many days of premium requests you have left before the refill.

Once your monthly premium requests are used up, Copilot either blocks further premium-model requests or bills them as overage at about $0.04 per additional premium request if you have a spending budget enabled. Requests on the included base model keep working. CostGoat alerts you before you hit zero so you can slow down or switch models instead of getting blocked or billed.

Copilot Pro includes 300 premium requests per month and Copilot Pro+ includes 1,500. Copilot Business and Enterprise seats include their own monthly allowances per user. CostGoat tracks whatever allowance your plan grants and counts down from it as you work.

Premium requests are consumed by premium models (such as Claude, GPT-5, Gemini, and o-series reasoning models) and by features like Copilot agent mode, with each model applying its own multiplier. The default included model does not draw down your premium request balance. CostGoat helps you see how fast each choice depletes your monthly allowance.
